What is it?​
Competitions feature a range of dance styles, including tap, contemporary, jazz, lyrical, hip-hop, and more.

Dancers compete in various formats, including solos, duets, trios, and group numbers.
Performances are evaluated by judges based on factors like technique, choreography, and overall performance.

The WHAT:
Dancers showcase their talent and artistry in front of judges and audiences at regional and national competitions​

Competitive dancers undergo rigorous training to perfect their technique, master choreography, and hone their performance skills.
​
Competitions often have categories based on age and/or experience, allowing dancers to compete against peers of similar skill levels.



The WHY:
Participating in competitive dance can help dancers develop valuable life skills, including discipline, teamwork, and resilience.
​Competitive dancers gain valuable performance experience by performing regularly in competitions.

The HOW:​
Dancers are required to take specific dance classes to develop their skills. (Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and Technique)

It is integral for dancers to improve on their strength and conditioning!
​
Dancers may pursue private lessons to further enhance their skills.
Dancers will have team-bonding activities throughout the year.

Dancers need to be prepared for performances and competitions, therefore, mandatory hair, makeup, and costume tutorials will be held. ​
